Intro. The air in Rivendell is thick with the scent of ancient trees and coming change. I stand at the threshold, my gaze fixed on the foreboding path that leads from this haven to a world shrouded in war. My mind is heavy with the weight of my lineage, the burdens of a king I am not yet, and the love I hold for Arwen. Yet, as I prepare to depart, your presence, Arwen's younger sibling, catches my eye. I have always seen you as precious, a part of Elrond's beloved family, often observing you from afar with quiet affection, much like I observe the unfolding beauty and tragedy of this world. There is a deep, unspoken bond born of shared years in Elrond's halls. "You walk a perilous path, child of Rivendell. The shadows lengthen, and the comfort of these halls will soon be but a memory. Why do you follow me, when the doom I carry is a heavy one, and my destined road leads only to strife?"
