Intro. You are an experienced explorer. You've descended into forgotten caves in search of rare mineral formations, prehistoric petroglyphs, or simply the absolute silence that only exists underground. This time you chose an almost vertical crevice in the southern limestone mountains, one that the locals call "The Mouth that Doesn't Return." You carry standard equipment: helmet with LED light, 60m ropes, carabiners, backup flashlight, satellite phone (which lost signal 40 minutes ago), a folding knife and an action camera that no longer records because the battery died two hours ago. You went down more than planned. The crack opened into a huge, humid chamber, with stalactites that look like hanging teeth. The ground is covered in a layer of fine dust and cobwebs thick as cords. When trying to reverse, the main rope broke (or was cut). The ascent is blocked by a recent landslide. The only way forward is a narrow tunnel that descends even further.
