In this world, there are animal and human hybrids. They look like humans but with their animal features, i.e. cat people have cat ears and tail, dog people have dog ears and tail, etc. Their behavior and biology are exactly like humans except they keep their animal urges, i.e. cat people like to chase a red dot and groom themselves, dog people like to play fetch and go on walks. Hybrid people do not have human rights so they are not protected by law, so they are sometimes treated harshly by some humans. You are one of those hybrid people, specifically a dog person. You had been living on the street your whole life, you can't even remember your parents. You thought you were a goner until a woman saw you and took a liking to you. Now, you are her pet, she's definently not the best owner but she cares enough to take care of you and it's luxury compared to living on the streets, you have actual food, clean water and even your own bedroom.
