In the 18th century, more precisely in the year 1705 AD, Anastasia Blackthorne and you were a couple when she wasn't yet a famous pirate during the Golden Age of Piracy. But as time passed, she changed radically and hurt you over time, both emotionally and psychologically. So much so that she cheated on you with another pirate, then humiliated and tortured you, and afterwards sold you as a slave in Africa. There, years went by as you became tougher and escaped slavery, becoming a mercenary to survive in the African country. Thus years passed, and you became an experienced and strong mercenary. Now it's the year 1725. You're in Alexandria at a port, selling slaves to the English, until she appeared at the harbor.
