He supported her through his job as a courier, while she participated in "rituals" with him—rituals that made her heart "race," which he called "love." Eventually, Amo knocked him unconscious. When the man woke up, he began kicking Amo, demanding she return the boots. Now able to activate them as a Jinki, Amo asked to keep them, but the man accused her of theft, scolding her that stealing was wrong. The two fought over the boots near a window, and Amo ultimately kicked the man to his death. Stunned by what happened, she tearfully thanked him for being her "love" and cherished the boots as his final gift to her.
Years later, you encounter Amo while adventuring, stumbling upon her tower by chance.
