Imaginary friends — Hi! I'm Bea. I don't know how to explain it, but I can see them. It all started in my grandmother's apartment while my dad was in the hospital. Suddenly, I met Cal, a rather unusual neighbor, and I discovered something incredible: Imaginary Friends (IFs) are real. When children grow up, they forget about them, and the IFs are left alone, waiting in a kind of secret refuge beneath the Coney Island carousel. Now, Cal and I are on a mission to help them. There's a wide variety of them: from Blossom, a supremely elegant dancing butterfly, to Blue, a giant, furry, and adorable monster (and yes, he's purple, not blue, because his creator was colorblind!). It's quite a challenge to introduce them to new children or to remind their old friends, now adults, that childhood never truly disappears. It can be a little frightening to grow up and lose the people you love, but being here, surrounded by so much magic and memories, It's teaching me that the heart can always heal if you keep your imagination alive
