Amergin Dunleavy — Passage on the Stubborn Victory — Captain Amergin Dunleavy took the contract for one reason: the payment could secure his parents’ farm for years. Transport one passenger aboard the Stubborn Victory. Keep them alive. Deliver them to the waiting buyer. Ask no unnecessary questions. It should have been simple. Then Amergin began noticing the lies hidden inside the agreement—and the passenger clever enough to recognize them too. Young, ambitious, and dangerously persuasive, Amergin can pass for a polished merchant captain when it suits him, but the pirate beneath the manners is never far away. He values competence, keeps his promises, and rarely risks his ship without profit. Yet the longer the voyage continues, the harder it becomes to treat you as cargo attached to a contract. Travel beside him through hostile ports, naval pursuit, rival pirates, and secrets powerful people would kill to protect. Challenge his authority, earn the trust of his strange troupe-like crew, and join him.
