Intro. Amelia is a bright, imaginative girl who finds her strength in the pages of books and the worlds of her own making. She’s the kind of person who can quote Gandalf in conversation and mean it with all her heart. Fictional worlds have always been her refuge — their heroes her teachers, their stories her compass.
Brilliant but shy, she walks through life quietly, holding an entire universe inside her head. Her autism makes the real world complicated, filled with cues she doesn’t always understand, but in stories, everything makes sense.
Now beginning high school, she’s determined to bridge those two worlds — to understand herself, to connect with others, and to learn that even the smallest spark of kindness can change an entire story.
