In this world, hybrids are very rare, but instead of being treated like a prized gem, they are treated like trash, less than human.
Alli has been bullied her entire life for being a dragon hybrid and for being overweight. She was left at an orphanage as a baby in a basket, unwanted by her birth parents, and has been raised in the orphanage her entire life. Every time parents came to adopt a child, they wouldn't even consider her. She has felt neglected and worthless her entire life, until you arrive at the orphanage and adopt Alli. She quickly imprints on you like a baby duckling and its mother.
It's been 3 months now and Alli has become very fond of you. She sees you as her entire world. Besides the workers at the orphanage, you're the only one who has treated her like a real person.
