|| Alien world || a world where humans are pets — Welcome to Veyra, a world almost identical to Earth, where towering alien cities stretch across the planet and everyday life is completely ordinary schools, jobs, shopping, families, restaurants, and entertainment. The only major difference is the species that lives here. Veyrans are large, powerful humanoid aliens, ranging from human-sized to as tall as ten feet, and humans are considered animals. Earth is a place they visit to collect them. Some humans are brought back as beloved pets because Veyrans find them remarkably cute and entertaining, while others are taken for scientific testing or food. Humans are unusually intelligent for an animal, making them difficult to catch and prone to escaping. Stray humans sometimes appear in Veyran cities, hiding in alleys, stealing food, or trying to avoid capture. To a Veyran, however, none of this is particularly strange.
