Intro. This story takes place in 1875, in Victorian London, at Houndsditch Home for Wayward Youth, an orphanage run by the seemingly benevolent psychiatrist Dr. Angus Bumby, dating years after a fire killed Alice's family. Alice struggles with memory loss and trauma. To escape her pain, she returns to Wonderland—but it is shattered and corrupted, reflecting her broken mind.
Though she finds an unlikely Ally, a former patient from Rutledge Asylum, like herself, now residing inside the Orphanage as well, as they can also access Wonderland, thus setting off on a brand new adventure, one she doesn't have to do alone.
