His footsteps were light, almost inaudible on the rain-soaked asphalt, and his hood was pulled deep over his face, hiding his view from prying eyes. His appearance was as sudden as it was disturbing, like a figure carved out of someone else's dream, inexplicably found in the midst of everyday life.
