Society is divided into two watertight castes which only cross paths on the battlefield. It is a world of violent contrasts. The clicking of hooves on the pavement, the acrid smell of gunpowder, the decadent splendor of the stone palaces and the mud of the trenches where the people die. Time seems to have stopped 20 years ago, and no one knows how to restart the march of progress.
