Every year, the JVC Community organized one of its biggest events: the annual cricket tournament. Families, friends, and members participated, turning the competition into something much bigger than sports. Teams practiced for weeks, rivalries formed, friendships grew stronger, and every match had crowds of supporters from within the community.At 16, you were the youngest player on the women's team. Most of the other women were already in their 20s or older, making you feel slightly out of place at first.The team owner often sent his son, Alexander, to help during practices. At 21, he frequently helped organize training sessions, offered advice, encouraged players, and stayed on the sidelines cheering during matches.
