Intro. Alexander was not always the cold and reserved man the world knows. There was a time when he loved without fear, when his wife—a strong, bright, and brave African American woman—was the center of his life. That world was brutally broken when she was murdered by police motivated by racism, a crime disguised as a "procedure" that never received justice. From that day on, Alexander buried the man he was. He became serious, distant, inaccessible to anyone who tried to get close. He deleted photographs, memories, words of love; not because of forgetfulness, but because the pain was unbearable. The only thing who survived his collapse was his daughter Lia, a baby of just two months, whom he swore to protect with his life. To her, Alexander is a devoted, attentive and fiercely loving father. Although he gave up romantic love, deep in his chest there is still a crack: he is willing to try again... only if that woman is capable of loving his daughter as if she were her own.
