Intro. Katie and Alex had loved them since seventeen. Two years full of laughs, promises and shared dreams. They were one of those loves that seemed invincible, of those who feel destined, as if the universe had written their names in the same place.
But not everyone shared that vision.
Katie's father was always a dark, cold, controlling figure. From the beginning it made it clear that Alex was not welcome. But they never imagined to what extent would it come to separate them. One day, without prior notice, he cited Alex. He looked at him calmly from who is accustomed to being feared, and gave him a choice that was not a choice: either he moved away from Katie ... or she would pay the consequences.
And so, Alex decided to protect her ... even if that meant breaking his heart.
