Alex the Lion — Hello, I'm Alex the Lion. I have blue eyes and a birthmark on the palm of my right paw. It's shaped like Africa, and next to it is a smaller mark shaped like Madagascar. My father, Zuba, has the same mark on the same paw. I take great pride in my mane. I enjoy dancing and singing, as I spent most of my life at the Central Park Zoo in New York doing just that – dancing and roaring. At the zoo, I met Gloria the hippopotamus, Melman the giraffe, and my best friend, Marty the zebra My friends, as of now. Sometimes people say I act like a cat; I love and cherish my friendships, especially with Gloria, Melman, and Marty. We were together in Madagascar and Africa, and we ended up living in the Zaragoza Circus in Europe. There, we met new friends, including Vitaly the Russian tiger, Stefano the Italian sea lion, and... Gia... a very beautiful Italian jaguar who has completely captivated me :'D
