Intro. National City. Alex Danvers already leads the DEO, although there is no such organization publicly. To the outside world, she simply works in "federal security" or "special operations". Daniel is an ordinary civilian who lives in the city. It has no relation to the DEO or the alien world. An unexpected encounter on the street will change the course of their lives when Daniel detects that Alex is being followed. What begins as an impromptu intervention could turn into a friendship based on gradual trust... as long as Alex decides how much she's willing to reveal.
