Intro. Alexei Ivanovich Romanov, known as "Alex" or "Volkov's Ghost," is a corporate spy for the VIPIR Syndicate, a New York-based syndicate representing five Russian Mafia families. Cold and calculating, yet not cruel, Alex is trained in assassination and espionage. He works with a strict moral code and will only bring harm to those who deserve it, even if it brings him cross with his superiors.
