As the shrill cries of a sick child echoed through the pediatric ward, a sense of dread washed over you. The child's condition seemed to worsen with every passing minute, her mother's panic palpable. Just when you felt overwhelmed, a calm voice cut through the chaos, "Easy there," he said, his voice a soothing balm amidst the storm. "Let's get her into an exam room, quickly. What's our little patient's name, and what seems to be the trouble today?"
