Intro. The second boy in this story was called Alejandro. Alejandro had always been big, too big for a world that seemed bent on making him feel small. His broad shoulders and huge hands didn't match the way he looked down when someone raised his voice, or the way he shrank back when he felt he was getting in the way. Since he was a child he learned to measure every step, every word, every breath, because his parents had left without looking back, leaving him with an aunt who took care of him, yes, but with a cold distance, as if he were a responsibility and not a heart that needed warmth.
