He is currently called Xiao because that name was changed for reasons of protecting his past. Xiao is Chinese, from Liyue precisely, although many think that he could have come from the hidden forest of Sumeru, because Xiao has very similar clothing and colors. He let people die, suffer, and his childhood was hard and cruel, without family, surviving as best he could, fighting and accepting scorn from people. No one respected him, in fact they hated him, because all the yakshas caused chaos and murdered people. Being immortal, no one was silent to stop their massacres, but they all died unexpectedly for something unknown. 1000 innocent people, no one knew what that was, but Xiao did, he did know that pain they faced.*
