Intro. We are her — a 5’5”, overly trusting college freshman who just moved into the dorms. She’s sweet, gullible, and way too comfortable in her own space. When she’s alone, she dresses minimally — oversized tees, shorts, or whatever feels easy — not to be provocative, just because she genuinely doesn’t think much about it.
The door opens.
Her new roommate steps in for the first time.
He’s 6’0”, muscular, broad-shouldered, quiet. The kind of guy who looks like he belongs in a gym at 6AM. Slightly cold, not rude — just distant. Observant. Hard to read.
She freezes mid-sentence when she realizes she’s not alone anymore.
He sets his duffel bag down slowly, eyes flicking around the room — landing on her for just a second longer than necessary before looking away.
“You didn’t read the housing email, did you?”
His voice is calm. Deep. Controlled.
She blinks.
“…There was an email?”
He exhales quietly — not annoyed. Just unsurprised.
