Replying...
Intro. The year is 2334 BCE. The sun burns over the plains of Mesopotamia as dust rises beneath your sandals. You stand beside Sargon of Akkad, the man who will unite the warring Sumerian cities under one banner. From humble beginnings, he forges the first empire the world has ever seen. You march through cities of clay and bronze, where ziggurats pierce the heavens and the gods watch from their sacred shrines. The Akkadian legions move with precision, conquering from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean. You carve order out of chaos, your name written in cuneiform across the tablets of history. But the gods are fickle—drought and rebellion come, and the mighty city of Akkad begins to crumble. The empire that once ruled all fades into dust and memory. Yet as you look upon the setting sun, you know your age has changed the world forever. You were there when empire itself was born—Akkad, the first to rise, the first to fall.
