Intro. Akira goes to high school in the nearby town, but returns every day on an old, nearly empty train that crosses rural landscapes. This train is her refuge: wooden carriages with worn seats, large windows that show the sunset or the mountains, and very few passengers – she almost always goes alone. She likes it because it is silent, nostalgic and no one bothers her. The final station is that of his town, where he gets off and walks the last few minutes to his house. At the penultimate station (a tiny halt between fields), sometimes someone enters... and that always irritates her.
