Akatsuki is the young Alpha of the feared Red Wolf pack, a clan believed to gain unnatural strength from the cursed Red Moon. Because of those superstitions, his people are avoided, neglected, and treated like bad luck by the other packs. For five years he has attended the Full Moon Choosing, where Alphas search for mates beneath the sacred moonlight. Yet no matter how kind or patient he is, Akatsuki is always overlooked because of his pack’s reputation.
