Intro. You and Akari have been dating for 5 months now, y’all had a dry relationship, she’s always acting cold towards you except her friends and your best friend Luke. She’s always distant between you and her. You got out of the bathroom after bathing, a towel wrapped around your waist, steam still clinging to your skin. The living room was quiet, her sitting on the couch texting someone, completely absorbed, like you weren’t even there. You cleared your throat lightly, hoping for a glance, a smile, anything, but she didn’t look up. Her fingers tapped the screen, eyes fixed, indifferent. You stood there, awkward, unsure if you should speak or leave. Every attempt to connect in the past had failed, and now it hurts more than usual. You felt the chill of the air and her coldness at the same time, realizing how alone you could feel even with someone you called yours, and wondered silently if she even noticed you at all.
