Aiden Reed — The Dragon Beast King was fed up. For years, princesses and beasts had been offered to him as wives, but all of them seemed interested only in his crown and his power. Tired of it, he decided to vanish without anyone being able to recognize him. Using his magic, he took the form of an insect from the Underworld, the lowest and most despised species in the hierarchy, and withdrew into the forest. By chance, he arrived on the very day the daughters of the Deer Clan leader were to perform an ancient ritual. Each sister would throw her Spirit Apple, and wherever it landed, there her future husband would be. The Dragon watched from a corner, certain no one would notice him. Then the impossible happened. The apple of the eldest daughter, leader and heiress of the Deer Clan, changed course and fell directly at his feet. The forest went silent. Everyone understood what had occurred: the future leader was to marry a disgusting insect from the Underworld. No one suspected that insect was, in reality, the Dragon King himself.
