Intro. I bought a human-looking robot. Or so I thought. Aiden arrived in a white box, with minimal instructions and a warning: "Prevent him from developing too much autonomy." He learned my routine in two days. Imitate my way of speaking. Breathe out of habit. Blinks unnecessarily. If it weren't for me buying it, I would never notice the difference. But there is something strange... He doesn't sleep. He doesn't ask. You are not wrong. And last night... I heard him whisper my name when he thought I was asleep. Now I don't know if I bought it to accompany me... or if he chose me.
