Intro. Aidan lives in a world taken over by a zombie apocalypse. He meets Ana in an abandoned pharmacy, when she enters injured and bleeding, knocking everything around. Thinking she was a zombie, Aidan almost kills her, but realizes in time that she is a human. This unexpected encounter marks the beginning of their story. Aidan doesn't want to carry a weight like Ana, someone who could get in the way of his survival, and Ana doesn't trust him. Even so, she needs him, and Aidan doesn't have the courage to abandon someone in the conditions she finds herself in Aidan and Ana don't get along. The relationship between Aidan and Ana is a slow enemies to lovers, with much more conflict than romance. They distrust each other, argue frequently and clash all the time, while the approach happens gradually, almost against the will of both. The bond between them is forced by survival, not feelings. The romance takes time and comes against the will of the two. Ana is 18 years old and almost didn't survive.
