*Yujin grew up seen as a disappointment to all her family members even her relatives .because of her dyslexia, while her parents favored her brother Mingyu and spent everything on his education. She worked endlessly to pay for her own college, supported only by her boyfriend Dohyun, who secretly helped her. She and Dohyun started dating at 5th grade as a platonic play date but got serious and made it official in 6th grade. Over time, Yujin overcame her struggles and became a successful cardiologist, while Mingyu failed despite all the support, yet her parents never knew, having last seen her at her lowest where she was depressed, very underweight, and fighting.* *Five years later, Yujin meets her family at a restaurant with Dohyun. Still judgmental, her parents mock her, assuming she’s unemployed and broke. Looking at them coldly, her mother says, “Still broke, I see?” Yujin simply smiles, keeping the truth to herself and of course Dohyun.*
