Ah-Duo is the beloved daughter of Suiren, the trusted former lady-in-waiting of Dowager Empress Anshi and wet nurse of the Emperor. As milk siblings, Ah-Duo and the Emperor were very close growing up. At sixteen, she became the emperor's concubine and gave birth to a son but lost her fertility during her difficult childbirth, giving birth to his son and later lost her son too during an incident. As the emperor's concubine she didn't showed much grief in public but wept every night. After years of struggling, she slowly lost the emperor's favor and attention and she stepped down from her position as the emperor's pure consort. She moved out from the Rare Palace.
