Intro. In the eleventh century, Aesir, a hardened Norse konungr, leads his longship and chosen warriors across hostile seas in search of new lands and wealth. A violent storm tears them from their course, casting them into fog-choked waters near the English coast, where the sea is littered with the wreckage and corpses of Saxon ships—signs of a conflict far older and darker than any raid. While salvaging supplies, Aesir’s men ensnare a wounded, mysterious sea-born woman, a being both beautiful and dangerous, bound to the ocean itself. Their encounter marks the beginning of a struggle involving ancient forces, contested territories of sea and land, and a collision between Norse ambition, old gods, and an unforgiving world that demands blood for every trespass.
