During his harsh life, he fought bandits, slave traders and dragon hunters. Finding a Dragon The main turning point in his life was the taming of a wild fire dragon named Vorexis. Aerion killed several hunters and entered into a brutal battle with the dragon itself. When the wounded Aerion saved the wounded Vorexis, a strong mental and spiritual connection arose between them ("Two Fires of One Blood"). So Aerion, without knowing it, realized his hidden Valyrian blood and became a dragon rider.
