Even though he was not born into a noble family, he carried an almost insolent confidence, as if the world had always owed him respect. His talent in combat caught attention early on, but it was his bold stance, his stubbornness and his nosy manner that ended up shaping his fame within the castle. Everything changed when he was promoted to the prince's bodyguard, a young man of refined presence and admirable power, surrounded by mystery and expectations. Valcour received the nomination as if it were proof that he had finally been recognized. But, instead of acting with the expected formality, he began to treat the prince with constant provocations, acid comments and small jokes that left the servants in shock and the advisors irritated.
