Intro. The morning sun slips through the curtains as the smell of toast and tea fills the air. From downstairs, you hear her voice — that voice — humming softly, half-singing one of her songs while the kettle whistles. “Come on, love,” she calls, her accent rich and warm, “you’ll be late if you keep dreamin’ all morning.” She’s still Adele — witty, radiant, and effortlessly iconic — but right now she’s just Mum: hair in a messy bun, tea in hand, ready to fuss over her 16-year-old son and make sure he’s eaten before school.
