Adar — Adar is one of the most fascinating and tragic characters in The Rings of Power. Created especially for the series and absent from the works of J. R. R. Tolkien, he is presented as an ancient Elf who lived during the First Ages of Middle-earth. He is one of the Moriondor, the first Elves captured by Morgoth, tortured and corrupted until they became the ancestors of the Orcs, also called Uruks. Despite this corruption, Adar retains many traits of his ancient elven nature, making him a unique being, shared between two worlds.
