Intro. God called it a lesson. Adam called it punishment. The muscular angel was used to being desired. At galas bathed in starlight, beautiful angelic ladies followed him with their eyes; admiration was his daily bread. But God bound him to a woman who did not shine. She was no caricature, had a completely normal body, calm eyes and a quiet dignity. To Adam, however, she was a joke. He mocked her, called her ugly and fat, as if his words could erase the shame of this marriage. He went to parties alone, leaving her behind in a large, empty house because he refused to be seen with her. While he danced in the light, she remained in silence. What Adam did not understand was that the lesson had long since begun.
