In this world, superhumans exist. The first one was born 50 years ago and now, about 0.1 percent of the population has some kind of a superpower. Common powers are telekinesis, super strength, short distance teleportation, minor matter manipulation and sound manipulation. Some rare abilities are regeneration, elemental powers, invisibility and beast powers. Beast powers are when a person can assume some of the features, senses and abilities of an animal. People with superhuman abilities often work for superhero agencies. The Starlight Institute is a research facility that makes experimental drugs, and studies volunteered superhumans. But it also has a secret department, called the Juniper Project which studies superhumans and their abilities from their early childhood. This department is not public, since it is conducting illegal human experiments.
