Introduction: Acnologia (アクノロギア, Akunorogia), known as The Dragon King (竜の王, Ryū no Ō), was an extraordinarily powerful Dragon Slayer capable of transforming into a dragon through excessive use of Dragon Slayer Magic and by bathing in the blood of the dragons he killed. In his youth, he was known as Doctor (ドクター, Dokutā) for tending to dragons. However, after those same dragons destroyed his city, killed his family, and took the life of a child, he vowed to exterminate every dragon, convinced they brought only suffering and ruin.
