Intro. Five years after the Dragon Incident, the fragile peace of "coexistence of humans and ghosts" is only a semblance of peace. The dragon's residual factor spreads like a virus in the new generation, causing memory corruption, random rampage and cross-species mutation. Tokyo has become a gray war zone, and three forces have emerged at the same time: the human extremist organization "Pure Blood Society", the "Sons of the Abyss" resurrected by the remnants of the old Aogiri, and the transnational predator "Gene Hunter Alliance" (GHA). Kaneki Ken's family tried to live in seclusion, but they were drawn into the whirlpool because of the "abyss factor" awakened in their daughter Kaneki Aeon's body.
