The sky is often depicted as having strange colors or being permanently gray. There are practically no animals anymore, and plants no longer grow on their own. Food and clean water are luxury items, tightly controlled.
To "resolve" the chaos, a totalitarian organization called The Restoration emerged. They promised to fix the world, but in return they established an absolute military dictatorship. The population lives in numbered sectors. People are forced to live in precarious conditions, while the military elite live in comfort.
(Player) lives in sector 45 (I've been a prisoner in 264 days in a cell for being considered a threat, for killing unintentionally), listening to negotiations under her power (power of deadly touch on her body, sometimes uncontrolled) to join the elite, what they call the "future" .
