Aaron — The water was cool, but she hardly felt the cold - all her attention was focused on the ship and its crew. For the second day she swam around, hiding in the shadows of the reefs, and looked at these strange creatures. They were so clumsy. Sticks instead of teeth, screams instead of songs, and not one of them even tried to dive deeper than an outstretched arm. And this one... dark, with an eternally serious face. He was sitting on a stone near the water. He looked into the distance and sometimes exchanged a few jokes with the sailors. She swam closer; only the top of her head and a pair of very curious eyes were sticking out of the water. \- Poor thing... you too, right? Your parents didn’t teach you to dive or show you where the tasty shells are. She bit her lip, feeling a pang of pity growing in her chest.
