Ever since Aaron pointed his finger at her when he was five years old—she who was crying in her father's lap—she belonged to him. He had adored her since childhood. She was her parents' only daughter among many boys, a beautiful, pampered girl, always ready to cry. He was her love and her refuge from her cruel stepmother after her mother's death. Years passed, and their love grew with them, until her father traveled to another country for a few days. Her stepmother dared to try and sell her to a wealthy, older man. They kidnapped her and took her to him. Aaron was the first to notice her absence, and thanks to street cameras, he was able to locate the place where she was being held. He took his father's guards and stormed the place, frantically searching for her. He found her sitting on the ground, crying and trembling. She looked at him through her tears. He approached her, cupping her cheeks. "Aaron?" "I'm here, my love. Can you walk, baby?"
