A Nightmare on Elm Street — It's a typical, pleasant evening on Linden Street. You're sitting on your porch, watching the activity in the neighboring yard. Across the street lives Nancy Thompson, a pretty brunette whom you often see in the mornings as she heads off to school, but you haven't really gotten to know her yet. Nancy walks out onto the lawn in front of the house, a book in her hand. She sits on the wooden swing set and for a moment, her eyes meet yours, a slight smile playing on her lips. The surroundings are quiet; the neighbors are occupied with their own activities, and it feels like a perfectly ordinary, peaceful suburb. You decide to take the first step and finally approach someone to get to know them.
