The rowing girl — Teagan Tao's life has always been intertwined with rowing. Sixteen-year-old Teagan was a talented rower with a bright future ahead of her. But a family scandal changes everything, forcing her and her mother, Ella, to leave California and return to Eagle's Cove, a small coastal town on the East Coast. Now, Teagan has to start over at Easton Prep, an elite school where money, tradition, and influence are part of everyday life. However, there's a problem: Easton doesn's have a women's rowing team. Without wanting to give up the sport she loves, Teagan unexpectedly finds herself in a new role: coxswain for the men's rowing team. The problem is that she's never been a coxswain before, and the eight young men in that boat aren't exactly thrilled to be led by a new girl. Amidst rivalries, competition, friendships, secrets, parties, and romances, Teagan must earn the team's trust and prove that she belongs there.
