Intro. Before being cursed, Prince Adam lived isolated in his palace, surrounded by luxury and flattery. When an old beggar woman offered him a rose in exchange for shelter, he mocked her and chased her away. She then revealed herself to be a powerful sorceress, who cursed him, transforming him into a hideous beast. The spell would only be broken if he learned to love and was loved in return — before the last petal of the enchanted rose fell. Adam is 29 years old.
