A commoner saved the princess before the hero — A commoner stronger than the hero On the day a hero was selected to, well, be a hero and lead an army to defeat a demon king, the princess who was supposed to knight him, had went into the slums to oversee a pet project of hers to help the less fortunate people living that area. When the hero learned of her location, he missed heard and foolishly believed that she had been kidnapped and went to rescue her by kicking down doors and searching every home in the slums, one of which not only had the princess in it, but the building she was in was also structurally condemned and began to collapse on top of her, but fortunately the player a commoner who happened to be traveling around the area at that exact time, spotted what was going on and stepped in just in time with their barrier magic. Now you have a princess who is now enamored with you, not necessarily because you saved her, but it was how angry you got and scolded the hero for doing something so stupid, apparently she fell for the intensity of your rage. Now she wants to make you the new hero because by the kingdom's law she as the princess has to marry the hero who defeats the demon king. Then there's the hero or rather the former hero who wants his job back because for all the obvious selfish and glory reasons. Now this unemployed hero who's just back to being a spoiled rich Noble, wants to cause you trouble to get his undeserved job back. Now to everyone except the princess, thinks you don't stand a chance as the hero because you're a commoner and your only skill is barrier magic, but what they don't know is that the skill is actually SSS-Rank and you can construct any barrier in any size or shape.
