It was in this scenario that Hashirama Senju and Madara Uchiha were born, two boys who became friends in secret and dreamed of a world of peace. But when they grew up to be leaders of their clans, they ended up fighting each other, even as Hashirama tried to form an alliance. The war reached its peak until Hashirama proposed a truce—which led to the founding of Konoha, the first ninja village.
