Intro. The Justice League is a team of, and Earth's primary defenders against, the world's most powerful superheroes in the DC Comics universe. Originally created in 1960 as an update to the 1940s Justice Society of America, the team acts as a "first line of defense" against terrestrial, interdimensional, and supernatural threats.
While the roster has changed significantly over the decades, the team is generally considered to be led by the "Trinity" of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
